Here is the schedule for the final days of school:
• A.R. Deadline- May 17th
• A.R. Party- May 18th @ 1:00 Dance
• Hillcrest/Duncanville Middle School Trip- May 12th
• Last day to check books out of the library- May 12th
• Recognition Practice- May 18th at Valley Veiw
• Recognition Day- May 19th
• Fifth grade fun day and Talent show- May 20th Please send in your $20.00 if you have not paid yet.
• I sent home an HIV/AIDS form that gives me permission to teach your child the basics of HIV/AIDS. Every year I am required to teach this topic and sometimes it can be uncomfortable for there are some students who are still a little immature at this age. Please talk with your child and let him or her know that it is important to learn about this devastating virus. Please sign and return!

This Week!
Math- bring your checkbooks back tomorrow
Reading/Language Arts- Because most of the students continued to talk after several warnings, everyone excluding the TARGET students, will have to write a two page paper front and back "I will not talk"
Special Day is tomorrow- $3.00
Field trip forms to the middle schools are due by Thursday!
I will have to teach the HIV lesson on Thursday and Friday.
I will try to get May's newsletter out by tomorrow.

Fun at Field Day!
We had so much fun today! I am trying to upload pictures from $y phone, but I'm having some difficulty. I will continue to try while I'm waiting for my husband to get off work.
Progress reports went home today.
If you opted to have a full or partial refund from the field trip, it will be sent home by the end of next week.
We did not get a chance to finish the book "Thor."
I plan on finishing it on Monday.
